We are proud to continue our tour of new Alegent Health Clinic physicians, with a quick introduction to Sarah K. Broadhead, M.D., a board-certified pediatrician caring for kids at Pediatric Express Care. This Omaha native (and Central High graduate – go Eagles!) received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed a residency through the Creighton – Nebraska Universities Joint Pediatric Residency Program. She’s also a Fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Though Dr. Broadhead is new to the Alegent Health Clinic team, she’s already a familiar face around the halls of Pediatric Express Care, as she’s been practicing there with Boystown Pediatrics since 2008.

Looking to strike up a conversation with Dr. Broadhead? Outside of her pediatrics practice, she’s also interested in spending time with her family, reading, traveling, cooking and baking, aerobics and movies.

What is Pediatric Express Care?

Pediatric Express Care is a walk-in urgent care clinic for children ages 0-18 located just inside the Emergency Department at Bergan Mercy – open during hours that physicians’ offices are typically closed. In other words, it’s a child-friendly, comfortable and convenient option for when your son bumps his head or your daughter is running a high fever, and the doctor’s office doesn’t open for hours.

Dr. Broadhead cares for patients at Pediatric Express Care along with other board-certified pediatricians and family medicine physicians, as well as experienced pediatric nurses. The best part? You’ll be charged for an office visit, not an ER or Urgent Care visit, and the clinic will make sure to keep your primary care doctor in the loop by sending a copy of your record over within 24 hours of your visit.
